According to Los Angeles reporter Faigen Agraviador, Caruso’s No. 4 jersey is still being sold in the Lakers’ home dome store. I don’t know if the Lakers can’t get enough of Caruso, or if the previous stock is not completely sold out.

Over the previous four seasons, Caruso played for the Lakers, making 184 appearances for the Lakers and chipping in 5.9 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. In the 2019-20 season, Caruso helped the team win its 17th NBA championship in team history. In this offseason, Caruso signed a four-year, $37 million contract with the Bulls.

In the two Bulls-Lakers games this season, Caruso helped the Bulls complete a doubleheader against the Lakers. When the Bulls played the Lakers on the road, the Lakers held a big tribute ceremony for Caruso at home, and Caruso hugged and saluted his former teammates including James.
During the Bulls’ home game against the Lakers, the Bulls mascot held a sign depicting a fan looking at a picture frame darkly depicting none other than Caruso from the Lakers’ days, alluding to the Lakers’ underachievement and fans missing Caruso. Caruso himself responded, “Is it true?”
So far this season, Caruso has averaged 28 minutes per game and has been able to score 8.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals, including ranking 3rd in the league in steals per game. Shooting 44.8% from the field and 36.4% from 3-point range, the Bulls currently rank 2nd in the East with 19 wins and 10 losses.

It’s worth mentioning that Caruso is not the only Lakers veteran on the Bulls’ roster, as they also have five players on the roster – Ball, McClung, Alfonzo McKinney, Tony Bradley and Matt Thomas – who have had the opportunity to play for the Lakers.
